I see the agents are onto it! Interesting! It is being marketed in the UK. However UK investors seem to be cash-strapped. Investor confidence is at an alltime low! The pound is weak, financing is difficult to get. A brave concept, not sure timing is right! Wht not market it to the Chinese? A shift in mindset is required!

We have worked with this developer for some time on with their Vila Jardins do Oceano project on Santiago.
They have proved with this resort that they deliver what is promised and also when it is promised.

I was rather hoping that Nigel & Maxine were going to "spill the beans" on this one since they have known about it for sometime??

Hi,
Thanks John for inviting me onto this forum, my name is Nick Carter-Brown and the contact details listed above are correct.
As both an investor and developer experienced in Cape Verde, I have enjoyed reading the material on this site. On the whole the moderator’s views are objective and balanced.
In order to manage everyone's expectation, if you have questions, please contact us direct and I or my colleagues will be happy to help. It is believed that this is the most credible method of obtaining factual information.
André’s previous comments have substance and I do agree that a radical change in thinking is required.
Cape Verde is new, exciting and challenging. We are determined to enhance the quality of life through the design, development and delivery of profitable, sustainable world class tourist resorts.
I passionately believe that investors deserve a better deal with lower risk, higher quality construction and a business focus on post completion consolidation, be this through income, capital growth and amenity.
We understand the reality of construction in Cape Verde and as our Villa/Hotel development completes we have created a route for a handful of off-plan investors into Boa Vista that is, quite simply, without financial risk.
You are welcome to challenge this, we are accessible; call us on 01225 33 66 07. We are available; meet us to aid mutual understanding. We are accountable; so if you wish to have an IFA/ solicitor or accountant present at any meeting, no problem.
Finally thank you for your time in reading this post.
Kind Regards,
Nick Carter-Brown

Hello Nick
Thanks for coming on the forum, a developer in cape verde coming on a public forum and saying he is the developer of this new proposed development, has got to be a first.
Nick, so can you tell me & all the people who read this forum all about your proposed development on Santa Monica Beach, where it will be & has planning permission been granted. How will your uniqe proposal as John says, work.
I agree totally that a radical way of doing things is required in cape verde in my opinion it is the only way investers may come back, "this may be a start". Please tell us on this forum all about the development, i for one may be interested in investing on the right development on Santa Monica Beach but lets be open & honest & do it on the forum then if i am interested i will give you a call.
Thank You
Nigel. _________________ Nigel & Maxine |

i believe that the 'santa monica' area has been zoned for hotel and resort development. its been a few years since i saw the blueprint but only large plots where available on 1st and 2nd line to the beach.
for anyone reading this that has not been to this area, famed for its natural and unspoilt beauty, go there now before it becomes developed. boa vista appears to be in line for some rapid tourism expansion in the near future lets hope they don't kill the golden goose...... |

The first thing that i would want to see from any developer "now" in Cape Verde, would be a copy of the land certificate to show that the developer
actually owns the land.

With the demise of Flash/ can we say CMG ?!? Not sure.
HOWEVER, Creola/Sabi Sands seems dead. Palm View seems a big concern. I agree with Nigel, however, in the present scenario there is place for 1 big developer. It could be that Nick C-B is the man. He could pull the punters from the other resorts. One could make it, not 3 in the present state of affairs! Maybe I am wrong.
