Although born in Cuba Mayra Andrade spent her teenage years living in Cape Verde and was influenced by the traditional Cape Verde music styles such as the Morna. These early influences form the basis for her music style. This would be a great opportunity for anyone visiting Boa Vista to see one of the best young artisits perform.
